Create Your Own Asthma Action Plan Now

If you are suffering from asthma, you need an asthma action plan which is useful not only for you but also for your companions.

As an asthma sufferer you are always in danger of having asthma attacks. In such condition you and people around you should know what to do. That’s why you need to have your own asthma action plan. By having asthma action plan you together with people around you can make a good decisions once you have an attack especially if it is high risk asthma attack.
To make your asthma action plan, first of all you have to determine your condition in what level of danger. You can use colors in determining the level of danger. Usually green color represents “fine”, yellow means “a little bit trouble” and red for “danger, need help”. In each color level you can put the symptoms, so it is easier to determine the level of your condition.
In green level, write down all the medication you usually take and how many times and amount it should be taken. If there is something you forget, you may have your companion to help you in remembering all the medications you need.
In yellow level, you can list all the symptoms signaling that you are in a bit trouble. The symptoms are shortness of breath, coughing and wheezing. You must also list sown all the medications you used when you have these symptoms.
The last level, red level is a serious condition of asthma attack. You have to list down all the symptoms that show you are in dangerous conditions. You have to clearly differentiate yellow level to red level. Write down all the medications you need as well. Don’t forget to write down the contact details and phone number of your doctor and ambulance if needed. Make people around you aware this condition so that they can help you if this is happen.
You can resume and write down your asthma action plan in a piece of card which designed practically and easy to carry. You can carry it wherever and whenever you go. Place it in an easy to see and accessible place such as in the pocket outside of your bag. Also always bring the medication you need to treat your asthma. When you are in attacks, make sure your companions will look at your action plan. So they will help you according to the plan and not getting panic.
A good prepared asthma action plan will help you if something serious happen. It will save your time and can prevent from hospitalized. So don’t hesitate to create your own action plan.
